Parton saves the show on musical's opening night
Dolly Parton stunned fans at the opening night of her musical '9 to 5' in Los Angeles on Tuesday, by stepping up and performing live when a technical glitch brought the show to a halt.
The country legend stepped onstage to introduce '9 to 5: The Musical' at the Ahmanson Theatre and promised to return if any problems caused the first night performance to grind to a halt.
And when the moving set stopped halfway through the first act - Parton kept her promise.
The 62-year-old stepped back onstage and sang her hits '9 to 5' and 'I Will Always Love You' - before the glitch was fixed and the show could go on.
The musical, which is set to run in LA until October, has been dogged with technical issues - two preview starts were scrapped last week to allow cast and crew to solve onstage problems.
