Actress Minnie Driver welcomes son

British actress Minnie Driver has given birth to a son in Los Angeles, her publicist said today.

Henry Story Driver was born on Friday and weighed in at a hearty 9lbs 12oz, Jessica Kolstad told People magazine.

Driver, 38, confirmed that she was pregnant in March during an appearance on The Tonight Show in the US, when host Jay Leno remarked on her baby bump.

London born Driver, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in the 1997 film 'Good Will Hunting', has not revealed the name of the father.
