Replica of 'Quiet Man' pub to be opened
Fans of that great film 'The Quiet Man' can now toast the romantic adventures of John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara in their very own pub.
A replica of Pat Cohan’s pub in Cong – originally a shop but converted into a bar by director John Ford – will be opened by owner John Connolly on September 17.
A lookalike competition – come as Michaeleen, played in the 1952 classic by Barry Fitzgerald – is also planned.
