Bookmaker installs Tipperary Rose as favourite

Stunning Tipperary Rose, Aoife Kelly, remains the bookies 5/2 favourite ahead of tonight’s Rose of Tralee Festival.

The omens are good for an Irish victory in this year’s competition with Paddy Power offering odds of 8/11 that the crown will return to Ireland.

Cork Rose, Niamh O’Hanron, is second-favourite at odds of 3/1 and the capital is represented by Dublin Rose, Hannah McDonnell, who would appear to be a relative outsider in the betting at odds of 16/1.

Paddy Power are also offering odds of 6/1 for Ray D’Arcy to present tonight’s show in a white tuxedo and odds of 40/1 for any Rose to appear on stage with toilet paper stuck to her shoe.
