Sutherland raises hopes of '24' film

Hit TV series '24' could soon be made into a movie, according to star Kiefer Sutherland.

“The script is actually in development right now,” the star told MTV.com. “It’s something that we would shoot next summer, during the next break.”

However, a film version will not necessarily spell the end of the TV series – the seventh season is due to be shown on US screens this winter.

“The series can go and the films – or film – can go,” said Sutherland. “The '24' movie would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day. That would be the first time that we would not do something in real time.”
