A terrific coming-of-age story set in Dublin and quite brilliantly realised by director Quinn, who brings us strong and sympathetic characters working their way through a well observed screenplay.

McCarthy plays the 14-year-old Maeve whose progress to womanhood is fraught with the usual teen difficulties of falling in love, having problems in school and fighting with friends.

It’s all wonderfully real, funny and moving … don’t miss!
