Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has branded US TV journalist Anderson Copper a "hypocritical idiot" after becoming involved in a war of words between his ex-wife Dina and the news anchor.

Celebrated CNN reporter Cooper took a swipe at the 'Mean Girls' star's younger sister Ali while hosting live US morning show 'Live with Regis & Kelly' on Tuesday.
