The Seoige sister act of Gráinne and Síle have come together to anchor their own daily TV show.

Síle will join Gráinne as the replacement for Joe O’Shea on RTÉ’s afternoon chat show which will be called ‘Seoige’.

Aside from the sister act from Galway, RTÉ confirmed the fashion show ‘Off the Rails’ will make a return, but without its long-standing presenters Caroline Morahan and Pamela Flood, who are replaced by Brendan Courtney and stylist Sonya Lennon.

Brendan, formerly of the TV3 stable and presenter of ‘The Clothes Show’ on UKTV, said the new show would be “a very different animal” to the previous one. RTÉ say viewers can look forward to more than 70 brand new home-produced series and programmes this autumn and winter on RTÉ TV.

Caroline Morahan will be teaming up with Derek Mooney, who leaves ‘Winning Streak’, for a new series of ‘Class Act’.

Globetrotter Kathryn Thomas will continue to present the travel programme ‘No Frontiers’ but will also co-host ‘Winning Streak’ with Aidan Power, currently co-presenting ‘Fáilte Towers’.

There will be a three-part documentary on former taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

‘Bertie’ and ‘Cromwell in Ireland’ are among more than 40 new documentaries.

Rachel Allen and Neven Maguire host two new cookery shows, while ‘At Your Service’ tries to rescue Irish hotels and B&Bs in need of help.

Plus there will be the usual diet of soaps, from ‘Fair City’ to imports such as ‘EastEnders’.
