LaBeouf may lose finger on crushed hand

Actor Shia LaBeouf could lose a finger on the hand he crushed in a car crash last week, according to US reports.

The actor is nursing a heavily bandaged hand after flipping his truck twice in a collision with another vehicle in Hollywood on July 27.

He underwent surgery and spent several days in hospital, causing delays to his new movie 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'.

Director Michael Bay is currently adding LaBeouf's injury to the movie's storyline - and may have to incorporate a missing finger, if reports on Starmagazine.com prove true.

The site suggests LaBeouf has been warned by doctors they may have to remove the digit.

A source tells the Star: "Shia called producers and told them. It's really thrown the movie into turmoil."

A representative for LaBeouf, who is facing DUI charges stemming from the crash, has yet to comment.
