Carla Bruni: 'I didn't split Jagger and Hall'

Pop star and French first lady Carla Bruni has denied claims she broke up Mick Jagger's marriage to Jerry Hall, insisting they were only friends until he divorced the former model.

Before marrying president Nicolas Sarkozy, Italian Bruni enjoyed romances with rock pals Eric Clapton and Jagger - but she rejects the suggestion she committed adultery with Jagger before his 1999 split from Hall.
