New show for Spacey

Kevin Spacey is to merge the worlds of art and acting - by staging a comedy in which famous sculptures come to life.

The 'American Beauty' actor is to put on a production of 'Drama Queens', in which renowned works of art - including Andy Warhol's Brillo Box - are the stars of the show.

They will be activated by remote control - and Spacey and a host of other famous names will provide their voices.

The play is to be staged later this year at the Old Vic theatre in London, where Spacey is artistic director.

He says: "It's been of interest to find a way to merge the art and theatre worlds for some time.

"Some people may visit art galleries and never go to the theatre, or the other way around. This collaboration brings the two worlds together and shows how much the two artistic fields have in common.

"There will be some 'top drawer' names. It's yet to be determined who I will voice."
