Britney Spears will fight it out with Rihanna and Mariah Carey at this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), after they were nominated for Best Female Video.
Spears' 'Piece of Me' promo is named alongside Carey's 'Touch My Body', Rihanna's 'Take A Bow', Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl', and Jordin Sparks' 'No Air' duet with Chris Brown.
Meanwhile, in the Best Male Video category, rap hits 'Low' by Flo Rida, 'Lollipop' by Lil Wayne and T.I.'s 'No Matter What' will compete against tracks by R&B stars Chris Brown and Usher, whose songs 'With You' and 'Love In This Club' respectively, are also in the running for the award.
The Best Male and Female Video nominees were announced on Friday and the full list of VMA nominees is to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The 25th VMAs is due to take place at the Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood on September 7 and will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand.
