Elton John inspires Ben & Jerry ice cream

Legendary rocker Elton John is to be immortalised in ice cream - cool treat kings Ben & Jerry have created a new flavour in his honour.

The 'Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road' flavour is inspired by the 'Candle in the Wind' hitmaker's first ever concert in Vermont - the home of Ben & Jerry - later this month.

The flavour is described as "an outrageous symphony of decadent chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter brickle and white chocolate chunks."

Fans with a sweet tooth will have to hurry; the flavour is a limited edition only and will only be sold in the state from July 18-25.

Elton John joins Phish, Jerry Garcia and Dave Matthews who have all had Ben & Jerry flavours named after them.
