O'Neal determined to get it right after drugs shame
Troubled actress Tatum O'Neal is determined to win over New York authorities with her efforts as a good citizen and parent after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.
The 44-year-old star, a reforming heroin addict, was arrested by police last month after they spotted her exchanging money with a drug dealer near her New York home.
By pleading guilty to the charges against her, O'Neal avoided jail time, but she was ordered to spend two half-day sessions in a drug treatment programme.
The Paper Moon star insists she's determined to clean up her act so that charges against her will be dropped when she returns to court on September 4.
She says: "I was relieved by the sentence, and now it's back to my kids, the 12 steps (programme) and work."
