Gallagher's turmoil over Halliwell album name
Noel Gallagher nearly named the new Oasis album after a song by Geri Halliwell - until his girlfriend pointed out the similarity.
Gallagher was trying to come up with a title for the British rockers' seventh studio album and finally settled on 'Bag It Up'.
But when he told his long-term girlfriend Sara MacDonald, she pointed out to him that the former Spice Girl had already used the name.
He says: "The missus goes, 'Bag It Up? Isn't that a song by Geri Halliwell?'
I was like: 'You've ruined my entire f***ing year!'"
The band finally settled on the name 'Dig Out Your Soul' for the new LP, which will be released later this year.
