Ferrell comedy 'Semi-Pro' best avoided

Will Ferrell trips up in Semi-Pro (EIV, €24.99), yet another tale about a team of no-hopers out to change the world.

There’s only so many times you can come to the well with this formula and this charmless and only occasionally funny outing is best avoided.

The plot revolves around owner/coach and star player Jackie Moon (Ferrell) whose Flint Michigan Tropics face the chop unless they can improve.

Awful.
