Singer John Mayer's romance with actress Jennifer Aniston has been given the seal of approval from an unlikely source - his ex-girlfriend.

Mayer, 30, dated 'Friday Night Lights' star Minka Kelly for several months last year (07) before he and Aniston, 39, began their affair in April.
