'The Ruins' nothing new, but holds the interest

So we return to the oft-explored horror territory of four people who are having a relaxing holiday in Mexico but who decide to go see some old ruins. Some people never learn...

At said old ruins the four find that the locals are anything but friendly – and included among the locals are a lot of creeping vines with a taste for blood.

Surprisingly enough, it’s not a bad film of its kind thanks to the above-average directing of Smith and a storyline that manages to keep itself on the right track.
