Gritty 'Adulthood' vastly impressive
Director: Noel Clarke
Cast: Noel Clarke, Ben Drew, Danny Dyer, Scarlett Alice Johnson
Cert: 18
Noel Clarke – writer, director and star – has pulled off a deeply moving and vastly impressive film with this follow-up to the 2005 'Kidulthood'.
We pick up the threads of the original with Sam’s release from prison for a murder. As he tries to fit back into life in gritty, underbelly London he finds violence, guilt and revenge.
This is a rough, tough film laced with sharp observation and pushed along by a fine cast, led by the excellent Clarke.
Star Rating: 5/5
