Prince cancels Croke Park gig

Prince has cancelled his much-anticipated performance at Dublin's Croke Park next Monday.

More than 55,000 tickets have already been sold for the event, but fans are now being offered refunds from next Friday.

Promoters MCD say the gig has been cancelled for "reasons beyond the control of Prince and MCD Productions".

They also say they hope to reschedule the show for sometime in 2009.
