Boy George plans American tour

Troubled British singer Boy George is set to hit the road to tour North America and Canada - his first performances in the US in over a decade.

The former Culture Club frontman, real name George O'Dowd, will play 25 venues across America, including two shows in Los Angeles.

The tour kicks off on July 10 in Aspen, Colorado and concludes on August 23 in Dallas, Texas.

O'Dowd made headlines in the US in 2006, when he was sentenced to community service and garbage duty after a New York judge charged him with wasting police time for falsely reporting a burglary in his Big Apple apartment.
