'Mongol' a sweeping, good-looking epic

Apparently the Mongolians thought this film about the early life of Genghis Khan was more than somewhat historically inaccurate.

Trouble is that few of us would be in a position to decide one way or the other.

It is best, then, to view this Oscar nomination as an all-action film - no more, no less.

Happily it is a great deal more: a sweeping, good-looking epic that might set you searching for more info on the central character.
