Bono receives degree from Japanese institution

U2 frontman Bono has received an honorary degree from a Japanese university in recognition of his contributions to music and dedication to humanitarian causes.

The singer - who is currently in Japan to attend the fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development - was cheered on by students at Keiko University as he collected the award on Wednesday, reports GigWise.com.
