McCartney given honorary degree in US

Paul McCartney can now add doctor to his resume, after receiving an honorary degree from one of America's oldest and most iconic universities.

The former Beatle was presented with the Doctor of Music accolade by top staff at Connecticut's Yale University - the third oldest education institution in the US - on Monday, in acknowledgement of his musical achievements to date in his 48-year career.
