Four Irish people nominated in prestigious Tony Awards
Culture Ireland has congratulated the Irish theatre artists who have received five nominations in the 2008 Tony Awards for achievement on Broadway.
Conor McPherson has been nominated both as writer and director of 'The Seafarer', while Conleth Hill and Jim Norton were nominated for their performances in the same play. Sinead Cusack is nominated for her performance in Tom Stoppard's 'Rock and Roll'.
Eugene Downes, Chief Executive of Culture Ireland said: "We want to wish all the nominees the best of luck for the awards on June 15. It's a sign of the extraordinary quality and international impact of Irish theatre, not least in New York."
