Carey steps out as Mrs Cannon

Mariah Carey and rapper/actor Nick Cannon stepped out together for the first time as husband and wife when they hit the Time 100 party in New York City on Thursday night.

The couple, who exchanged nuptials in a surprise wedding last week at the singer's mansion in the Bahamas, showed off their wedding rings as they mingled with other celebrity guests at the event hosted by Time magazine.

It is the second marriage for Carey, who split from Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola in 1997 after four years together. Cannon called off his engagement to model Selita Ebanks last year after another whirlwind romance.
