'Doomsday' is a sci-fi horror that, alas, brings nothing innovative to the genre, excerpt an overly-elaborate and complex plot that could have done with severe pruning.

The storyline involves the outbreak of a deadly virus in Scotland that forces the government to isolate that country with a large wall. Some years later, the virus breaks out again and brave Eden (Mitra) is sent with a special team to find the source and destroy it.

It could have been better, certainly a less fussy approach would have helped, but in the end it’s just another, so-so sci-fi that hasn’t been fully thought through.
