'What Happens in Vegas' starts well, but fades

This is a film that hits it running and then staggers to a swift standstill.

There’s so much going on in the first quarter of this rom-com that you wonder what is to come in the rest of the busy little drama … er, not a lot.

The story, overly-complicated, involves two guys who head to Vegas, find themselves sharing a room with two gals, one couple get unhappily married, there’s a suddenly-won fortune to be scrapped over … oh, and lots more.

Only we eventually couldn’t care less since no thought has been devoted to rounding out the plot.

It’s a film that will appeal as a date movie, just don’t expect much from it.
