Simpson thanks Wentz for stability

Pop princess Ashlee Simpson has credited her relationship with rocker Pete Wentz for keeping her "grounded".

The 'Bittersweet' hitmaker - who announced her engagement to the Fall Out Boy star last month - insists she surrounds herself with good people to ever end up like troubled stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

She explains: "I don't see myself following the path those girls take. I'm almost 24. I'm pretty together and I'm getting married.

"I wouldn't ever let myself get that way and I don't surround myself with 'yes' people. I think that's the most important thing.

"People don't control me or anything I do and I've never had that problem."
