Former Spice Girl star Geri Halliwell kept her fans waiting at a book signing on Monday - because she was trapped in an elevator.

The singer-turned-author was rescued by firemen after she was trapped for an hour at the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, England when the service elevator broke down.
