Minogue boosted by Aussie loyalty

Kylie Minogue's Australian fans helped give the pop star a much-needed boost during her cancer battle by refusing to give up their tickets for her cancelled concerts.

The singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and had to scrap the Australian leg of her 'Showgirl' tour - but fans Down Under never gave up hope the pop star would return to the stage.

She says: "Most of the Australians didn't return their tickets and I thought, ;They've got them stuck on the fridge or in the corner of a handbag. What will they do with them?'

"It gave me a goal to get well for."
