Townshend backtracks on The Who plans

The Who star Pete Townshend has "changed his mind" over plans for the legendary group to record a new album and embark on a tour later this year.

The star recently announced in a fan club newsletter that he had agreed to several new projects - including heading back to the recording studio in September.
