Kidman speaks up for battered women

Actress Nicole Kidman came to UN headquarters to urge world leaders and ordinary people to join the global fight to end violence against women.

Kidman, who is seven months pregnant, told a news conference today that “one in three women will encounter violence in some way, shape or form against them in their lifetime”.
