Celebrity chef to make cameo appearance in 'Emmerdale'
TV chef Antony Worrall Thompson is to appear in popular soap 'Emmerdale'.
The restauranteur will play himself as part of celebrations to mark the show's 5,000th episode.
Worrall Thompson, 56, appears as a judge at the fiercely-contested Pub of the Year competition.
Woolpack chef Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock, attempts to impress Worrall Thompson with his cooking, but his efforts go awry.
The scenes were filmed on Thursday for the ITV soap and they will be broadcast in June.
Worrall Thompson said: "I'm a big fan of 'Emmerdale' and had a great time in the Woolpack putting Marlon through his paces."
Series producer Anita Turner said: "We were delighted that Antony was available to make this cameo appearance for us in what is going to be a fun-filled episode to celebrate the 5,000 landmark."
