Corrie's David Platt to visit Dublin

His on screen Weatherfield character is set to be sentenced on Friday for pushing his mother down the stairs but Jack P Shepard took some time out of his filming schedule to jet into Dublin to let his hair down.

Irish viewers will see the Corrie star's mum Gail Platt played by Helen Worth celebrate her 50th birthday - the morning of the verdict on her twisted son for whom the reality of going to prison finally sinking in.
