Britney triggers minor car crash: Reports

Britney Spears triggered a minor accident on a motorway in Los Angeles last night.

No one was injured and no charges brought, a California Highway Patrol official said.

The 26-year-old pop singer, whose career has been buried under an avalanche of personal and health problems, bumped a car in stop-start traffic in San Fernando Valley after she failed to stop her Mercedes in time, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

That car, in turn, pushed forward into another car, he said.

Ms Spears is invariably followed by a large posse of paparazzi, but it was not immediately clear if overly aggressive photographers had anything to do with her latest mishap.
