Bono finally sells New York home

U2 rocker Bono has finally sold his New York apartment for $4.9m (€3.1m), three years after first putting it on the market.

The singer and his wife Ali moved out of the pad on Central Park West in 2005, after upgrading to a $14.9m (€9.45m) home in an apartment block on the same street.

It has taken him longer to find a buyer to snap up the 16th floor home they paid $3.4m (€2.16m) for in 2001.

They finally found a buyer after dropping the price from $5.5m (€3.5m) to $4.9m (€3.1m), reports the New York Post newspaper.
