Reality star Kerry Katona was expected to give birth today, her publicist said.
The 27-year-old went to Macclesfield hospital, close to her home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, early yesterday morning after her waters broke during the night.
Doctors will monitor her situation this morning before deciding whether labour should be induced.
Her spokeswoman said: “Kerry is doing brilliantly, this is the bit she loves.
“Obviously it is five weeks earlier than expected but it is within the safe zone.
“Doctors are monitoring her labour and will make a decision on whether she should be induced later on.”
The 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' winner is already on record saying she is expecting a boy, to be named Max in honour of the publicist Max Clifford.
Husband Mark Croft, 37, was with her at the hospital.
The couple have a one-year-old daughter Heidi and Kerry has two older children - Molly, six, and Lilly Sue, five – from her marriage to Westlife singer Brian McFadden.
Kerry and Mark’s life features in a fly-on-the-wall documentary, 'Crazy In Love', for MTV.
