Same-old, same-old in 'Never Back Down'

When they’re not dancing in the streets, actors now seem to be scrapping, as they are here.

It’s a decent enough film even though the plotline has been worked over many, many times. What helps is the central performance of Faris as the high school kid who takes a battering during a fight club brawl and sets out to improve his technique, get revenge and grab the hottie (Heard).

No more, no less. Some good-ish lines, plenty of action but we’ve seen it all before.
