She plays a journalist in new film Leatherheads, but Renee Zellweger almost became a reporter in real life too.

“I studied journalism,” the 'Bridget Jones' star told Access Hollywood. “I went to the University of Texas to write, so I had every intention of having that job, then something went really terribly wrong, and here we are. I’ve played journalists before, but in a different context obviously. It was a lot of fun.”

Renee plays feisty journalist Lexie Littleton in the movie about an American football team in the 1920s, opposite George Clooney, who also directed it, and John Krasinski.
