Katona is 'fine' after hospital dash
British reality TV star Kerry Katona's illness is not life-threatening - she was simply suffering from water retention.
The pregnant former singer was admitted to hospital over fears she may have pre-eclampsia, which can be fatal to both mother and child.
Katona, who recently completed a stint in rehab to treat depression, had reportedly complained of swelling in her legs and ankles, which can be a symptom of the deadly condition.
But after undergoing a series of tests at a hospital in Macclesfield, England, on Tuesday last, it was discovered Katona - who is expecting her fourth child - was not seriously ill.
Her spokeswoman says: "In fact it was water retention and low iron levels, which brought on similar symptoms."
She adds: "Mummy and baby are fine."
