Give ‘The Condemned’ a miss

I love action films, but ‘The Condemned’ (Lionsgate, €24.99) is just plain silly.

Not only because wrestling star Stone Cold Steve Austin plays a death row prisoner suddenly forced to take part in a murderous reality game for the delectation of an online viewing audience.

Hardman Vinnie Jones and Rick Hoffman also star in a creakily directed Scott Wiper drama that comes across as too flimsy by half.

The special features include audio commentaries by Austin and Wiper, a look back at when Jones and Austin first met (who cares), storyboard sequences, a standard making-of featurette, and so on.

Do yourself a favour and give it a miss.
