Combs slams Tupac attack claims

Rap superstar Sean 'Diddy' Combs has hit back at a newspaper report linking him to a gun attack on Tupac Shakur.

The Los Angeles Times claims Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. were told of plans to attack Shakur at a New York Recording studio in 1994.

Shakur was shot five times, but survived the assault - two years before he was murdered in Las Vegas.

Combs has blasted the article, telling New York gossip column PageSix.com: "This story is beyond ridiculous and is completely false. Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."
