Lauper tour bosses ask Spears to hit road
Cyndi Lauper and the organisers of her upcoming tour have thrown Britney Spears a comeback lifeline - by asking the fallen star to join the second 'True Colors' trek.
The 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' singer reportedly invited troubled Spears to join the gay rights touring revue onstage at Los Angeles' Greek Theater last summer - but Spears ignored the offer.
Lauper and producers of the tour aren't giving up, however - they've re-approached the 'Toxic' singer with an offer to join them on the road this year, according to E!online.com.
The 2008 True Colors tour kicks off in Boston, Massachusetts at the end of May (08), and features Lauper, comedienne Rosie O'Donnell, the B-52s and Joan Jett And The Blackhearts.
