‘Planet Terror’ hugely entertaining
Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Planet Terror’ (Momentum, €24.99) brings gore to a high and hugely entertaining level.
When doctors William and Dakota Block (Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton) find themselves inundated with locals suffering from sores and vacant stares, they quickly realise this is not a normal night.
Among the arrivals are a dancer minus a leg and the mysterious El Wray (Freddy Rodríguez), both of whom soon help their new friends to take on the world.
A zombie-fest sure to tickle the fancy of lovers of ‘Night of the Living Dead’ and similar films, ‘Planet Terror’ proves Rodriguez has a great future.
Special features include director’s commentary and oodles of featurettes.
4/5.
