Campbell hospitalised in Brazil
Naomi Campbell has been hospitalised in Brazil, after undergoing surgery for the removal of a cyst.
Campbell is being treated by infectious disease specialist Dr. David Uip and gynaecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti at the Sirio Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo, where she was admitted on Sunday.
A statement from her representatives reads: "Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital (on Monday night) to have a small cyst removed.
"Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work.
"She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her."
Speaking to news site G1, Dr Uip says Campbell underwent a lengthy surgical procedure, adding: "She was admitted into hospital. She is in my care and that of Professor Pinotti, but she did not authorise us to comment on the matter."
Campbell, 37, has been in the South American country for the past few weeks, after attending the Rio De Janeiro Carnival, reportedly as the guest of Brazilian billionaire Marcus Elias, reports PageSix.com.
