Glen Hansard and his girlfriend Marketa Irglova have picked up an Oscar for their song 'Falling Slowly' from the hit film 'Once'.
The song was nearly excluded from the nominations due to concerns about its eligibility, but was later approved by the organisers.
Hansard and Irglova performed the track at last night's ceremony in Los Angeles before taking to the stage to pick up the award.
Elsewhere, Daniel Day-Lewis unsurprisingly won the Best Actor award for his role in 'There Will Be Blood', but Saoirse Ronan missed out to Tilda Swinton in the Best Supporting Actress category.
'No Country for Old Men' was the big winner on the night, winning Best Film and Best Director for Joel and Ethan Coen.
Javier Bardem also won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film, while Marion Cotillard won Best Actress for 'La Vie En Rose'.
