Swank honoured for charity work
Oscar winner Hilary Swank has been honoured for her cancer charity work.
The 'Million Dollar Baby' star was presented with the Entertainment Industry Foundation's 2008 Courage Award in Los Angeles last Wednesday night in recognition of her efforts on behalf of the EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund.
Among those paying tribute to Swank at the glitzy pre-Oscars event were Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Christian Slater.
Last year, the actress cut nine inches off her hair on Oprah Winfrey's US TV show to encourage others to donate their locks to cancer survivors.
