Bon Jovi to release documentary

Veteran rockers Bon Jovi are set to release their first band documentary - after decades of watching their rock 'n' roll peers' adventures on film.

The 'Livin' On A Prayer' hitmakers have appointed acclaimed filmmaker Barbara Kopple to direct the project as they embark on their upcoming world tour.

Guitarist Richie Sambora says: "We just realised that (over) all the years, we really didn't document enough stuff.

"We put out a box set a few years ago, but we look at other bands, contemporaries like U2, even Tom Petty and Aerosmith, and they had cameras rolling all the time. We didn't have a lot of footage like that going on."
