Mel B: 'I am not to blame for Spice split'

Melanie Brown has blasted rumours the Spice Girls split because of an ongoing feud between her and Geri Halliwell.

The singer staunchly denies stories that a continuation of an old rift between them caused the girl band to cancel their world tour prematurely - insisting the reunion has created a strong bond between the fiery pair.

Mel B says: "Everybody knows that Geri and I have had our problems in the past because at one stage we were inseparable and that can never last, but having time apart and then coming together has been incredibly healing. We have a real bond.

"The stories suggesting the end of the tour was anything to do with rows are complete rubbish."

Tour dates for concerts in Australia, China, South Africa and South America have been cancelled, with the group citing family commitments for the decision.
